PingPongParkinsoni Estonia MTÜ

On April 11, 2026, the first meeting between representatives of the NGO PingPongParkinsoni Estonia took place in Tallinn. The event marked an important step in developing cooperation and raising awareness about new opportunities to support people with neurodegenerative diseases.

The main goal of the meeting was to introduce participants of the Union’s activities to the work of the new organization — PingPongParkinsoni Estonia. During the meeting, an overview of the team and members was presented, along with information about the organization’s mission and plans to develop adaptive table tennis in Estonia.

The practical part of the event included a table tennis masterclass led by coach Vallot Vainula Participants had the opportunity to try playing, gain initial skills, and see firsthand the accessibility and benefits of this activity.

Guests were also informed about the launch of regular table tennis training sessions in Tallinn. Everyone interested could leave their contact details to receive further information and join the sessions.

According to several international studies , playing table tennis can improve coordination, balance, and motor control in people with neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s disease.

The mission of PingPongParkinsoni Estonia is to create an accessible and supportive environment where people with such diagnoses can regularly engage in sports, improve their quality of life, and monitor changes in their condition. In the future, the organization plans to implement technological solutions to monitor participants’ conditions and improve the effectiveness of the training process.
